This was supposed to be my Valentine’s Day gif(t) to the lovely ladies over at Naked Persimmon, but I wasn’t able to finish it in time.  So, happy belated!  Stay perfect. <3

You cannot deny that Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork connected on a very deep emotional level.

I’m not talking slash. I’m not saying they fucked. I’m saying they were these two amazing musicians thrown in a fake music group with two actors and they were all controlled and manipulated to a T. In the midst of all the Monkee madness, Michael and Peter were musicians. Michael and Peter lived for music. Michael and Peter needed the music to survive.

They knew at the end of the day, they were there for the music, and they were there for each other. Davy and Micky could do whatever, but Michael and Peter knew that it was the music that brought them there, brought them together, and they would eventually take the music for themselves.

There’s more to Torksmith than just some (A LOT) of sexual tension between the two of them, and while I like looking for Torksmith moments as much as the next, I also like to think about the reality of it.

Absolutely yes! This is a fantastic post and I think everything here makes perfect sense. And for me, and I think a lot of other Torksmith lovers, that deep emotional connection/bonding over the music is what forms the basis of our love for Torksmith. That foundation is essential to the tensions between them, both sexual and other, and is a big part of why this pairing holds so much appeal for me.

Anonymous asked: Apparently, 1 in 5 people in the world are Chiense. And there are 5 people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother Colin. Or my younger brother Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin.

Torksmith fan video set to Michael Nesmith’s song, “Magic.”

The second comment on the video is pure gold:

Anonymous asked: Have a wonderful new year filled with lots of Torksmithy goodness!!! <3

Thanks, Anon! :D Definitely looking forward to supplying more Torksmith love in 2013. And tonight I’ll be imagining these two doing this at midnight:

It truly is remarkable that, despite how some things change, some things will always stay the same (and thank you to carlislesimms for giving a great example of this with two other photos as well).

They’re such a couple. They’re like one of those couples who had a thing when they were young, then lost contact, and then found each other again like 50 years later. So cute…

Michael. Fucking. Nesmith. Have me. Now.

Looks like Peter know a little something about Mike being a smooth, romantic lover

That boy couldn’t hide what he knows even if he tried…

Monkees Tour 2012: Torksmith Reports?

I know there are a whole bunch of you who went to see the guys on this new tour, and so I think it only makes sense that we discuss all the brand-new Torksmith that Nez and Peter delivered for us this time around. Pictures like this particularly sent me into a squealing fit:

…Because of that LOOK between them, that says so many things without either of them ever saying a word.

So, how about it, guys? What Torksmithy goodness did you observe at your shows? Let’s hear it! (And/or see it, if you’ve got any pics!)

(playing with some different coloring)

Torksmith makes me happy.

Definitely have not been posting enough of these boys lately. Bring on the Torksmith!
